NEET-UG 2024 : CEO of Physics Wallah Approaches Supreme Court Challenging The Granting of Grace Marks by NTA

Educational Technology Company ‘ Physics Wallah ‘ (Physics Wallah) के CEO Alakh Pandey ने इस साल Under Graduate (UG) Medical Entrance के लिए National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) में शामिल होने वाले कई Candidate को Grace Marks दिए जाने के National Testing Agency (NTA) के Verdict को Challenge देते हुए Supreme Court का दरवाजा खटखटाया।

9 June को File की गई Writ Petition को Advocate J Sai Deepak ने Supreme Court की Vacation Bench के समक्ष Immediately Listed करने के लिए उल्लेख किया।

Justice Vikram Nath की अध्यक्षता वाली Bench ने जवाब में वकील से कहा कि वह Case को Registry के समक्ष उल्लेख करें, जिससे Listings अनुरोध Chief Justice of India(CJI) के माध्यम से भेजा जा सके।

Supreme Court ने Tuesday को Other Petitions पर Notice जारी किया, जिसमें Alleged Paper Leak के कारण 5 May को आयोजित NEET-UG 2024 Examination रद्द करने की मांग की गई। यह देखते हुए कि Examination की पवित्रता प्रभावित हुई, Court ने Paper Leak के आरोपों पर NTA से 8 July तक जवाब मांगा। हालांकि, Court ने Counselling Process पर रोक लगाने की प्रार्थना खारिज की। उल्लेखनीय है कि उक्त Petition 4 June को Result Declared होने से पहले File की गई।

Pandey की Petition में NTA के Grace Numbers देने के Decision को “मनमाना” बताते हुए Question उठाया गया। उनके वकील ने कहा कि Pandey ने लगभग 20,000 Student से ज्ञापन एकत्र किए हैं, जिसमें दिखाया गया कि कम से कम 1,500 Students को यादृच्छिक रूप से Approximately 70 से 80 Number अनुग्रह अंक दिए गए।

अन्य NEET Candidate ने Exam के दौरान कथित समय की Loss की भरपाई के लिए Grace Numbers दिए जाने को Challenge देते हुए Petition File की। उन्होंने तर्क दिया कि Grace Numbers देने के लिए ” Normalization formula ” सबसे अच्छा, यदि बिल्कुल भी, केवल उन Questions की Number तक ही विस्तारित हो सकता है, जो समय की Loss के Ratio में Unanswered रह सकते हैं। यह देखते हुए कि प्रत्येक Question का समान अंक भार है, इसलिए प्रत्येक Question का Answer देने के लिए समान Time Distribution माना जा सकता है।

9 June को Supreme Court में एक और Petition File की गई, जिसमें NEET-UG 2024 के नतीजों को वापस लेने और नई Exams Conducted करने की मांग की गई। Petitioners ने Grace Numbers देने में Arbitrary का Allegation लगाया। इस Relation में, यह तर्क दिया गया कि कई Student द्वारा प्राप्त 720 में से 718 और 719 के High Score ” Statistical रूप से असंभव” हैं।

यह आरोप लगाया गया कि Examination के दौरान देरी के कारण कथित तौर पर NTA द्वारा Grace Marks देना, कुछ Student को ” Backdoors Entry” देने की दुर्भावनापूर्ण कवायद है। Petitioners ने इस Fact पर भी Doubt जताया कि Special Centers के 67 Students को पूरे 720 Numbers मिले।

गौरतलब है कि 8 June को National Testing Agency (NTA) और Union Ministry of Education ने इस साल की NEET (UG) Examination में बैठने के दौरान हुए “Time Loss” की भरपाई के लिए “Grace Marks” दिए गए 1,500 से अधिक Candidates के Consequences की समीक्षा करने के लिए Four Member Committee के गठन की Announcement की।
